Privacy Policy – Tinnitus Toolkit
Last updated: July 2026
Tinnitus Toolkit ("the app") is designed to support tinnitus management through sound-based therapies and cognitive behavioral tools. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
Information Collection and Use
Tinnitus Toolkit does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers.
The app does not require account creation and does not collect:
- Name, email address, or contact details
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers
- Device identifiers for tracking
- Health data linked to an identifiable individual
Data Stored on Your Device
To function correctly, the app stores the following locally on your device only:
- Tinnitus frequency estimates
- Hearing profile calibration results
- Therapy settings (e.g. volume, duration, selected therapy)
- Subscription and trial status
This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not shared with the developer or third parties
- Is deleted when the app is uninstalled or app data is cleared
Research Digest Content
The app can display a monthly digest of recent tinnitus research. To do this, it downloads the digest content from our website (tinnitustoolkit.com) when you open the Latest Research screen with an internet connection. This is a one-way content download: no personal data, identifiers, or usage information is sent — the request is equivalent to visiting the website's research page. The digest is then cached on your device and remains available offline. Standard technical information (such as your IP address) is processed by our web host to deliver the content, as with any website visit, and is not used to identify or track you.
Like almost all websites, our web server automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, request time and browser or app user-agent) for security, operational and troubleshooting purposes. These logs are not used to identify users, build profiles or track activity across services.Third-Party Services
Tinnitus Toolkit does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or data brokers.
Tinnitus Toolkit uses RevenueCat to process in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect limited purchase and device data necessary to verify entitlements. This data is governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy and is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.
Google Play services may collect limited technical data as part of app distribution and system-level diagnostics. This data is governed by Google's privacy policy and is not accessed by the app developer.
Medical Disclaimer
Tinnitus Toolkit is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment. It is intended for self-management and educational use only and should not replace professional medical advice.
Children's Privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No personal data is knowingly collected from children.
Data Deletion
Because all app data is stored locally, you may delete all data by uninstalling the app. No server-side deletion request is required.
Ownership and support
Tinnitus Toolkit is developed and operated by FarmtecMur, Mauritius.
